Check-In Instructions
Easy steps to access the property, including lockbox codes, keys, and gate entry.
Check-in is at 4pm. To enter the house, use the code to open the lock box (on the inside of the front pillar of the man gate). You will receive an email with instructions and the code a few days before check-in.
There is one key that unlocks the main gate door.
The large main front door has a lock box as well that you will be given the code a few days before check-in.
In order to park a car inside , use the automated gate, you must use the remote provided in the basket at the front door. Click the buttons located on the bottom of the remote to open and close the gate.
Warning please be cautious when using the automated gate. Beware of standing too close, and of loose clothing!

There are many doors to the house. For your own safety and the safety of your belongings, please ensure all doors and the gate are locked before leaving the property.
Sliding glass door, Kitchen/Great room and in the hall way, to ensure the doors are all locked.
Check-Out Instructions
Simple guidelines for returning keys, securing the house, and preparing for departure.
Check-out is at 10am. Please leave the gate remote in the basket beside the front door. The front door key in the lock box and the front gate key in its lock box. Please make sure all doors are locked.
At times, we will meet you at the property to assist you, inspect the house and collect the keys.
If you would like to request a later check-out, please contact us at least 24 hours in advance so we can verify if this can be accommodated dependent on our cleaning team’s availability and same day check-ins.

Our kitchen is fully stocked with a great variety of appliances, utensils, glassware and flatware.
Some of our popular appliances are the gas cook top and oven, microwave, air frier, crock pot, blender, toaster, drip coffee machine.
All tap water is filtered by reverse osmosis and is safe to drink anywhere in Aruba
What you need to know about the house
Air Conditioning & Energy Saving
How to use the AC units efficiently and keep energy usage low during your stay.
Every room and main area has its own split air conditioning unit controlled by a small white remote la located in each room. We ask that you set the temperature no lower than 25C or 77F for optimized climate control. Turning them lower makes little difference to the temperature as it will never achieve it, however it does put undue stress on the units and wastes energy, ultimately driving up costs.
When you are leaving for the day, afternoon or evening, we ask that you turn off the air conditioner units in the bedrooms to conserve energy. They are very efficient and will cool the room very quickly upon your return!
Please turn off unused lights or when you leave the property to conserve energy.
Blinds & Curtains
Recommendations for keeping the home cool by closing blinds and curtains when away.
The Kitchen and each bedroom all have blinds or curtains. We ask you when you leave to keep them closed due to the sun in Aruba. This will help keep the air conditioners from working too hard and keep the electrical costs down.
Garbage Disposal
Information on garbage pickup and where to place the bin for collection.
Garbage is picked up every Monday night. Please use the large green can located at the front gate and place it outside of the gate if you have garbage to dispose of. Once it has been emptied please back in to the same place in the corner.
Outdoor Shower
Enjoy the outdoor shower area and easily dry towels with the warm Aruban sun.
These operate just the same as any standard bathroom. The shower has overhead or hand sprays. Please hang towels outside on the outdoor hooks, they will dry fast in the Aruban sun. Enjoy a shower outside- you’ll be surprised how much you like it!!
Pool Information
Pool rules, safety reminders, and details about using the pool responsibly.
Feel free to lay right in the pool and soak up the sun! Our pool is a cement pool. It is only 5 feet deep. We ask that no sharp or metal objects such as a lounge or chair are placed in the pool as they may cause damage.
Our pool lights come on automatically and there is no need for any adjustment.
Please NO glass- Only plastic or cans around the pool!
For your safety- NO diving or jumping or horseplay, in or around the pool
Laundry
Instructions for using the washer, dryer, and outdoor clothesline.
We have a washer and dryer for your use, please limit the amount of washing as water on the island is very expensive. The dryer is gas, you will need to turn the red knob behind the dryer horizontal to let the gas flow. Please turn the gas back off after use. There is also a close line outside if you prefer, that’s our go to.
Neighborhood Dogs
A note about friendly free-roaming dogs commonly seen in the area.
In Aruba, it is common for dogs to run free, many owners do not chain or fence their dogs.
We have a few in our area that are very friendly. Please do not be afraid of them.

Top beaches to explore during your stay, all just minutes away.
Eagle Beach-Just 5 minutes away. Our favourite beach with miles of white
sand- set up near Manchebo, they have a great lunch!
Boca Catalina- Just before Arashi beach, it is small but famous for snorkeling and spotting sea turtles.
Palm Beach- located just a few minutes away, in the Highrise hotel area. A busy beach with so much to see & do!
Arashi- Just 15 minutes away, near the scenic California Lighthouse and also the locals’ favourite beach spot.
Baby- Located on the opposite end of the island, around 35 minutes away but worth the drive. Make it a day trip! A must try is Rum Reef for lunch and a swim in the infinity pool.
Beach chairs, and coolers are located in the laundry room.
Please use the hose in the driveway to rinse the sand from your feet, shoes and beach gear before entering the house.

Safe Instructions
How to set and use the in-house safe for your valuables.
When you arrive the safe door will be open. You will need to set your own personal code. First, locate the red button on the back of the door. Press that until you hear a beep. The (proceed) light will appear on the front panel, next enter your desired 4 digit code and press “B”, you will hear a beep and your new code is set! Turn the knob to the left and your safe will be locked. To open the safe enter your 4 digit code and press “B” a green light will appear on the front panel, turn the knob to the right and pull the door open. I suggest you try this for the first time leaving the door open to make sure you can see how it works. If you have any questions just reach out and we will assist.
Internet / WiFi
Available WiFi networks and password details for easy connection.
We have internet throughout the house as well as outside by the pool. You will see Casa Gerad come up. We have three different wifi signals available. They are Casa Geard 2.4G, Casa Geard 5G and Casa Geard Deco. Password is Paradise.
PLEASE do not share this with anyone other than your family members as internet is very expensive on the island.
Beach & Pool Toys
Toys, floats, and beach gear available for guest use.
Behind the pump room you will see a tote filled with beach toys, volley ball, floats and snorkel gear. We ask you to please rinse with fresh water at the side of the house after every use, this will keep them in good condition. Beach chairs (6 chairs) are inside as well as the noodles please rinse off and let dry before you leave at the end of your stay. Please store them back inside.
